On Saturday 30th of September we ran the annual Harvest Fair. Home baked cakes were served in the café and Fairtrade and homemade produce were on sale in the hall along with crafts such as pencil cases made out of old crisp packets. Continuing with the recycling theme, we had a Swap-it section where old items which people no longer use were brought and exchanged for something different. In the basement we played Kan Jam, a game involving throwing frisbees into slots in cans.
This event was to celebrate Gods gifts and how he provides for our physical needs as well as highlighting the need to look after our world and the people who work to give us the products we buy daily. The Harvest Fair had a warm atmosphere and was a great way to get to know people in Headington.Share this:
