HBC is a lively, loving, God-centred church family. Whatever your age, background, life situation, there’s a place for you here.

Vibrant Sunday worship with clear Bible teaching and great kids’ work.
Discipleship groups for friendship, bible study, prayer and mission.
Many other groups for men, women, young people, over 50s, etc.

We are excited to be working in partnerships with Barton Community Church and Northway Evangelical Church to show God’s love in these communities.

Our Sunday services are at 10.30am and 7pm at Headington Baptist Church, and the Barton and Northway churches meet at 5pm.

Our Philosophy

HBC is an evangelical church, affiliated to the Baptist Union of Great Britain and a member of the Evangelical Alliance. We accept the authority of the Bible in determining what we believe and how it should be expressed. We expect all members of the church to be involved in its life and mission. We are committed to evangelism in the local community, where possible working with other churches in our area. We are also concerned about matters of social justice nationally and internationally and moral issues affecting our nation.
