On Saturday 31st March we welcomed nearly 300 people into the church for our Easter Egg-stravaganza. Easter themed activities were everywhere, such as Easter basket making, Easter decorations, Easter gardens and Easter cards. The walk-through Easter story was a quiet space amid all the noisy activities, where all the stages of the Easter story were explained in stations, with chances to pray. In contrast, the basement hosted a very loud game of human hungry-bunnies which caused plenty of laughs. Finally, as the name suggests, there was the creme egg decorating competition, with some spectacular creations and three very worthy winners. Thanks to all the volunteers who made the home-made Easter cakes, and to those who helped on the day.
We pray that this event was a blessing to the Headington community and an opportunity for many to explore the Easter story of hope and life.Share this:
