Headington Baptist Church - Whole Building
At a time when so many are claiming that science and faith are incompatible, Professor Andrew Steane argues differently – for him each enriches the other. Andrew will outline his case, drawing on material from his recently published book, “Faithful to Science – the role of science in religion”, and there will be an opportunity for questions afterwards. Refreshments will be provided.
Andrew is Professor of physics and a fellow of Exeter College at the University of Oxford. His major works to date are on error correction in quantum information processing, including Steane codes. He was awarded the Maxwell Medal and Prize of the Institute of Physics in 2000. He is a member of Headington Baptist Church.
