Earlier this afternoon, we had a stall at the annual Headington Festival in Bury Knowle Park. This was day two of the festival and lots of local organisations came together to get to know the community of Headington. There was food, beer, fun fair and lots of warm sunshine! Our stall had face painting and model sail boat racing. There was a continuous queue for the face painting and we saw lots of faces changed into butterflies, lions and fairies and fish! The Rain Gutter Regatta was also popular – especially with competitive family members! Using straws and lots of puff, people raced coloured sail boats down plastic guttering. We kept s score chart showing the fastest times. The festival is always a great opportunity to meet people and invite them to the different clubs we run through the week and our own community events.
