Ian joined the team at HBC in 2020. He grew up in North East England where he started in ministry with young people at Tees Valley YFC. He studied Youth, Community Work and Theology at CYM before working with Bunyan Baptist Church, Stevenage as Youth Pastor. In 2013 Ian moved over from sole youth ministry to general ministry taking a pastorate in Peterborough and then Banbury before moving to Oxford. He’s had stints studying Theology at both Spurgeons Baptist College, London and Regents Park College, Oxford.
Ian is married to Bex and they have three children. His hobbies include tending the veg plot, cooking, playing board games with friends, a good TV boxset and going camping when he can.
As well as minister to the whole HBC community Ian has specific oversight of our work with Emerging Generations.
