Hannah and the birth of Samuel (1 Samuel 1:1-28)

Paul Clarke, February 18, 2018
Part of the Why wait on God? series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

Hannah prayed from the depths of her being for what she wanted and believed God could give her. God had closed her womb means that God was waiting for the right time to bless her with a baby, not that she was barren.
God understood her deep yearnings.
Most people seek God most in hard times; maybe we should seek him in the good times too.
Because of what she went through, she gave of her very best back to God. What Hannah gave to God was the dearest thing to her - her son.
If we are prepared to be like Hannah, how much can God do with us?
God is always with us and answers the prayers of those who come to him in faith.
