Half-Time Youth Team Leader Job Vacancy

Headington Baptist Church in Oxford is a lively, loving, God-centred, church family. We are looking to take on a half-time Youth Team Leader. The post may be suitable for a student with the right level of previous experience.

The Role

We are seeking to find a part-time Youth Team Leader to work with our growing group of young people. It will involve leading our Friday night youth club activities, Sunday morning youth work, some young people mentoring and, ideally, training, building, and developing our existing team. A key element for us is that the youth worker joins our church family – we believe that relationships built up within our church life greatly benefit our young people and their families.

We are looking for someone with:

  • A good working knowledge of the Bible & a personal practice of applying its teaching
  • Experience of church based youth ministry
  • Experience of reaching out to young people between the ages of 11-18
  • Experience of leading teams


The post is supported and managed by our experienced Children & Families leader. Half-time would be in the order of 20 hours per week (negotiable). Salary range: £20,000 to £24,000 pro rata depending on experience.
